I despise Windows , but I'll try to help anayyws I'm also running Vista. If you can locate where Windows is storing it's music files probably in your Music folder would be my guess (to access the music folder go to what was the start menu in older versions of windows, now the small round button with the windows logo) and click on it. When the menu displays, there should be an option on the right hand side that just reads Music . Click on this and you will probably be able to find the files in there. Either keep that window open for reference (so you can see the path to that folder) or remember the path to where the files are stored. Open iTunes, and click on the File menu. There will be options to Add file to library and Add folder to library . Add file allows you to import songs 1 at a time, Add folder allows you to add full folders. One you select Add file or Add folder you will be able to browse to the location where the files are stored and select them (hold down the ctrl key on the keyboard while selecting to select more than one at once) and then click ok .I believe iTunes will automatically convert the files to a file type compatible with iTunes when you import them this way in view of the fact that Windows files are not compatible with iTunes. If you bought the songs via an online pile you may have an issue protected songs will not be able to be converted and thus will not be able to be played in iTunes. You can also try using to burn the songs onto a CD and then open iTunes and import the songs off of the CD. That may work if you are having issues with iTunes not coverting the files. | |||
